Diet 7Up - Switch

January 26, 1992 | :30

Leo Burnett took 7Up and Diet 7Up to Super Bowl XXVI in 1992 with three ads among the sibling brands, this ad for the diet version and a companion ("Shave"), plus 30 seconds for the flagship ("Oil Change"). As ever, the focus is on taking a break from cola. 7Up and Burnett brought the Spot mascots back to the Super Bowl in 1993 ("Vacuum," "Blinds") and 1994 ("House of Cards," "22"). The brand then took a break until pitching a reformulation in 1998 with work by Young & Rubicam.
