Adobe upgrades publishing suite with new metrics
San Jose, Calif.—Adobe Systems has released new reports within its Digital Publishing Suite that enable publishers to gauge audience readership across digital magazine editions.
The measurement tools, developed in partnership with MPA, the Association of Magazine Media and the American Association of Advertising Agencies, enable publishers to measure the total number of tablet readers per issue, total number of sessions per issue, average amount of time spent per reader per issue and average number of sessions per reader per issue, Adobe said, in a statement.
Publishers will be able to submit this data for audit by the Alliance for Audited Media (formerly the Audit Bureau of Circulations), the company said.
Other upgrades to the publishing suite include support for Apple Inc.'s new iOS 7 mobile operating system; integrated push notification capabilities that alert readers of new content with custom text notifications; support for the Mobile Safari Web viewer to view shared content on the iPad; and the ability to schedule a specific date and time for publication of folios to streamline production processes.
