  • Toronto—Newswire distribution company Marketwired has named Chief Operating Officer Jim Delaney as CEO in a planned leadership transition. He succeeds Michael Nowlan, who had been CEO for 14 years and will remain on the company's board.

Prior to joining Marketwired as COO in August 2012, Delaney served as president, global sales and marketing solutions at Dun & Bradstreet. In his new role, Delaney will continue the focus on capitalizing on social integration of traditional newswire distribution by introducing new products and services, the company said in a statement.
