San Francisco—Image sharing site Pinterest has released a Web analytics tool to help companies understand how the market is interacting with its content. Pinterest Web Analytics uses such metrics as pins, repins, impressions, reach, clicks and unique visitors to determine which images are gaining popularity on the site. The tool also reports on how pin performance is changing over time. To access the tool, site owners must have a Pinterest profile and add an html file to their servers or insert a metatag to their site headers.
