New York Times to rebrand International Herald Tribune
New York—The New York Times plans to rename its International Herald Tribune brand as the International New York Times.
The rebranding is scheduled to take place sometime this fall, according to The Times. The company also plans to redesign the brand's website—currently merged with the Times' own website—to appeal to international audiences, and make unspecified new investments to enhance the paper's global appeal.
The International Herald Tribune is based in Paris, and publishes editions in 160 countries and territories. The Times has owned the brand since 2003.
