CEIR Index shows little gain in Q3

  • Dallas—The trade show industry showed little gain the third quarter, according to the CEIR Index, a metric created by the Center for Exhibition Industry Research to measure the performance of the exhibition sector.

    The CEIR Index showed a 0.9% gain in the second quarter compared with the year-earlier period.

    Attendance grew 1.1% in the third quarter compared with the year-earlier period, while net square feet was down 1.3% percent. Exhibitors showed only a modest gain of 0.9%.
