New York—The Interactive Advertising Bureau released best practices for site-tagging, developed by the IAB Data Council. The guidelines provide recommendations to website publishers to ensure security, data control and privacy compliance. Among the topics addressed are user abandonment, negative customer experiences and unintended transfers of data. The site tagging best practices are now open for public comment on the IAB's website (www.iab.net/sitetagging).
