  • New York—Online advertising bought through real-time bidding (RTB) will total $1.9 billion this year, making up approximately 13% of total display advertising, according to a new forecast from eMarketer. By 2016, RTB ad spending will reach an estimated $7.1 billion as the technology improves, eMarketer projected. (Real-time bidding is a digital advertising technology that lets marketers buy ads in real time on an impression basis.)
