Mountain View, Calif.—Google Inc. has taken its DoubleClick Bid Manager solution out of beta, making the ad-exchange bidding platform generally available to marketers and advertisers. Bid Manager is based on technology developed by Invite Media, which Google acquired in 2010. Its real-time bidding augments Google's DoubleClick ad exchange, which targets, delivers and reports on interactive ad campaigns. Google said Bid Manager is particularly useful in display ad remarketing based on users' previous interaction with search ads. It is now available for media buying in more than 40 countries.
