Agency: MRM/McCann, Salt Lake City Campaign: Solution demo mobile app Launch date: November 2011 Creative credits: Executive creative director: Brian Deaver; creative director: Joe Totten; art director: Paul Butterfield; copywriter: Diane Olson Why we liked it: Interactive apps offer marketers the opportunity to provide mountains of content about their products or services; but if that information isn't easy to navigate, the app is useless. Verizon succeeds at giving users reams of useful content in an organized and visually compelling way. After selecting an industry, users see a realistic 3-D landscape—for example, of the multiple buildings that comprise a hospital campus. Users can mouseover buildings to highlight questions pertinent to an industry and click for more information. When they do, they get a pop-up box with a succinct take on their challenge, the solutions Verizon offers and the results they can expect. They can also link to additional information and videos. It's a latter-day take on that most classic of business questions: What can you do to solve my company's problems?
