New York—The Economist has established a rate base of 50,000 digital-only subscribers who will pay an average of $106.61 per subscription. The new rate base will take effect in January 2013.
The base applies to the North American digital edition and subscribers on iPad, iPhone and Android products. It excludes digital replicas, e-readers, website subscribers and multi-user licenses.
“We clearly understand the important role that digital will play for us and for the industry as a whole,” said David Kaye, VP-advertising sales for The Economist, in a statement. “Transparency is important. This is another way to provide advertisers with the tools they need to make informed decisions about digital advertising.”
