Radio advertising up 1% in Q2

New York—Radio advertising revenue totaled $4.36 billion in the second quarter, a 1% increase over the year-earlier period, according to data released by the Radio Advertising Bureau.

Increases in automotive, restaurant and TV advertising contributed to the gain, according to RAB.

Spot advertising rose 1%, to $3.76 billion; digital advertising was up 3%, to $191 million; and off-air advertising grew 1%, to $409 million.
