ALM buys RivalEdge

New York—ALM, which covers the legal sector, has acquired RivalEdge, a provider of news and information to attorneys. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

RivalEdge tracks thousands of online news sources, law firm websites and social media channels to provide information on topics such as intelligence about other law firms, legal developments affecting clients and prospective clients, and industry news regarding specific practice areas.

RivalEdge will become part of ALM's Legal Intelligence division.
