"Social Media Marketing: Best-in-Class Marketers Rise to The Top" is designed to provide senior-level marketers with a snapshot of the current state of social media marketing, and insights into trends to watch for going forward.

This reports includes over 54 pages and 42 charts and graphs that are based on the 432 responses from b2b marketers, surveyed in January and February 2013.

Renee Haas, writing on Covario Inc.'s Actionable Insights blog, makes note of Google's new custom URLs on behalf of its Google+ social network. That means that instead of having your Google+ profile identified by a random string of numbers, users can switch their profiles over to a simple, easy-to-remember URL—something like Google.com/+yourname. But it promises to do more than that, Haas says. The rollout of Google+ vanity URLs should appeal to search engine optimization practitioners and Internet marketers. Since custom URLs are easy to remember, Haas says, they're also easier to share. This additional sharing, among other factors, increases the social signals for your website, which in turn helps to increase organic search rankings for nonbranded terms, Haas writes.
