Mountain View, Calif.—LinkedIn Inc. has redesigned the pages it allows companies to set up on its site to provide greater brand prominence and improved navigation. It also added a feature that alerts users to network activity. LinkedIn's redesigned Company Pages feature enhanced brand imagery and more prominent updates, allowing companies to display a large photo at the top of their pages along with their logos. Initial LinkedIn customers using the new layout include Citigroup Inc., Dell Inc., Hewlett-Packard Co. and Royal Philips Electronics. The layout will be available this fall to all companies, LinkedIn said. A new addition to users' sites is a notification button at the top of the toolbar that alerts them when they have a new inMail, and when others “like” a shared post, view their profiles or accept an invitation to connect.
