  • Boca Raton, Fla.—Email database list prices fell over the past year along with a number of other sales contact rental lists, according to the Summer 2012 List Price Index from list management company Worldata.

Aggregated business email database list prices were off 4.65% compared to the same period last year, to an average of $164 per thousand names, while permission-based international email list prices fell 1.47% to an average of $401 per thousand names. Postal list prices were also off: Small-business list prices dropped 4.26% to an average of $90 per thousand names, and larger business lists were off 2.14% to an average of $137. Controlled- and paid-circulation magazine subscriber list prices were steady year-over-year.

Worldata for the first time tracked the price of purchased lists for unlimited marketing use. The average purchase price of small business postal lists is $540 per thousand names, with larger company lists selling for an average of $620 per thousand names.
