Farm Journal Media cultivates producer executive network

Philadelphia—Almost 30 farming operations and 45 top producers from 13 states will join Farm Journal Media's Top Producer Executive Network (TPEN) in the next month, the b2b media company announced Friday.
The program is the nation's first peer-to-peer network for leading agricultural producers.
Since the program's introduction early this year, four groups have been formed representing more than 200,000 acres of row crops, along with significant livestock operations and other business interests, the company said in a release.
TPEN will organize on-farm meetings for these groups, providing members with strategic advice from noncompetitive peers. The first TPEN Signature Event is scheduled for Feb. 13-15, 2013, in Scottsdale, Ariz. In addition, a private website has been developed that will serve as a resource for TPEN members.
