San Francisco—Enterprise social networking company Yammer Inc., whose tools enable employees to coordinate their efforts on projects, has added a new feature that lets companies gauge the emotions expressed in employee posts. Through a partnership with sentiment analysis company Kanjoya Inc., Yammer's administration dashboard can now assess employee reception to news or other internal events by 80 different emotions to determine how employee reactions differ by location or department. In June, Yammer was acquired by Microsoft Corp. for $1.2 billion.
