McGraw-Hill separation into two companies on track

New York—McGraw-Hill Cos. has filed an initial Form 10 registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The filing indicates that the company's previously announced division into two entities—McGraw-Hill Financial and McGraw-Hill Education—is on track to take place by the end of the year.

“The filing of the Form 10 is another important step toward separation and the establishment of McGraw-Hill Financial and McGraw-Hill Education as leading, separate companies,” said Harold McGraw III, chairman and president-CEO of McGraw-Hill, in a statement.
