Great Media Websites: Architectural Record CEU app

Since 1997, McGraw-Hill Construction's Architectural Record has been providing courses for architects and other design and construction professionals to earn American Institute of Architects continuing education units (CEUs).
With the introduction of the Architectural Record CEU App in April, the program became more accessible and convenient for mobile users. “The app is an extension of our online continuing education center,” said Laura Viscusi, publisher of Architectural Record and VP of McGraw-Hill Construction Media. “It provides users free access to all active article courses. A lot of time and focus in the development [of the app] was put towards ensuring seamless integration with the website.”
The app allows iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch users to view courses and take tests, both online and off; track their courses and credits; and browse or search for courses in a number of ways. Although the app is only available for Apple's iOS operating system, Architectural Record plans to release an Android version before the end of the year, Viscusi said.
Mobile app adoption is likely to hasten Architectural Record's issuance of its 1 millionth CEU credit, a milestone that is expected to be reached this year. Viscusi said the company plans a big promotional blowout around the event.
