BIN: B-to-b ad pages drop in February

New York—Ad pages in b2b publications dropped 6.86% in February compared with February 2011, according to Business Information Network data released by American Business Media. For the first two months of the year, ad pages were down 5.87% compared with the year-earlier period.
The biggest drop-off occurred in the transportation and logistics category, which saw a 22.62% decline in ad pages. The biggest gainer was the aviation, aerospace and military category, which posted a 17.97% improvement over February 2011.
For the first two months of this year, computing, software and telecom suffered the largest drop in ad pages, falling 19.53% compared with the same period in 2011. In the same time frame, the largest gainer was the agricultural category, up 9.85% in ad pages.
