'WSJ' plans website, mobile news reader for Indonesia

Jakarta, Indonesia—The Wall Street Journal plans to launch a website and a mobile news reader dedicated to delivering information from Indonesia in the Bahasa language. Both products are scheduled to debut this summer.

“Indonesia's transformation—economic and democratic—has become a model for the developing world,” said Robert Thomson, editor in chief of Dow Jones and managing editor of The Wall Street Journal, in a statement. “The country's global role grows with each passing day; so the world must be better informed about Indonesia, and Indonesia needs more news and analysis about influential international events.”
