Sun-Times Media Holdings names Kirk editor in chief

Chicago—Sun-Times Media Holdings, which publishes the Chicago Sun-Times, has named Jim Kirk senior VP-editor in chief. He had previously been chief of editorial operations at Crain's Chicago Business. Both BtoB and Crain's Chicago Business are owned by Crain Communications Inc. Kirk will report to Timothy Knight, publisher-CEO of Sun-Times Media, which was acquired by Wrapports last year. Don Hayner, editor in chief of the Chicago Sun-Times, retired earlier this month. Crain's Chicago Business Editor Michael Arndt will remain in his role.
