Mag+ names Hano CEO

New York—Mag+, a mobile media platform for magazines, has named Gregg Hano as its CEO, effective May 7. Hano, who most recently was senior VP-corporate sales at Bonnier Corp.'s technology group, succeeds Staffan Ekholm, who will return to Stockholm to focus on international expansion for Mag+.

While working in Bonnier's technology group, Hano was a driving force behind Popular Science's iPad app, which debuted two years ago and relied on Mag+ technology.

“The platform lets content creators focus on what matters most—content—and fully take advantage of this amazing ecosystem,” Hano said in a statement. “This is the future of publishing, and I'm excited to be a part of it.”
