CNN's Zite introduces publisher sections

San Francisco—CNN's Zite, a personalized news reading app, unveiled the Zite Publisher Program with launch partners CNN, The Daily Beast, Motley Fool and VentureBeat.

Zite Publisher Program introduces “publisher sections” that feature the content of each publisher in the program. The sections offer optional ad placements that allow publishers to market subscriptions or mobile apps as well as analytics of the content's performance.

“With the launch of the Zite Publisher Program, we're giving publishers a way to harness the power of discovery to gain more readers,” said Zite CEO Mark Johnson in a statement. “We look forward to continuing to work with publishers to innovate on the traditional publisher-aggregator relationship.”
