ABC board endorses new Consolidated Media Report format for business publishers

Arlington Heights, Ill.—The Audit Bureau of Circulations board has endorsed a new Consolidated Media Report format for business magazine publishers. The CMR, which replaces the Multimedia Publisher's Statement, enables publishers to include data from such brand extensions as newsletters, trade shows and websites to help quantify the reach of the brand.

The CMR is an optional format. Publishers can still opt for the traditional ABC Publisher's Statement. “The CMR is a metaphor for our vision: to provide comprehensive, verified cross-platform metrics that help to facilitate the buying and selling of media,” said Mike Lavery, ABC president-managing director, in a statement.
