TechTarget launches site covering solid state storage

Newton, Mass.—TechTarget has launched a new website covering solid state storage products. The site, SearchSolidStateStorage.com, will cover products made from silicon microchips that store data electronically with no mechanical parts as opposed to traditional spinning hard disk drives and tape media, which store data magnetically.

“Solid state storage is emerging as a viable alternative to traditional spinning storage disk arrays, and vendors are responding with new, creative and cost-effective applications that are rapidly changing the storage landscape,” said Michael Kelly, TechTarget VP-group publisher of storage media, in a statement.

TechTarget's other sites covering storage include SearchCloudStorage.com, SearchDataBackup.com, SearchDisasterRecovery.com, SearchStorage.com and SearchVirtualStorage.com.
