NewBay Media acquires music publications from Future US

New York—NewBay Media has acquired Guitar Aficionado, Guitar World and Revolver from Future US, a subsidiary of Future, which is scaling back its U.S. presence. The deal was valued at $3 million, according to published reports.

NewBay said the deal would boost its access to audio professionals and enthusiasts. “This acquisition furthers our goal to offer our readers and advertisers unparalleled depth and breadth within the music and pro audio communities,” said Steve Palm, CEO of NewBay Media, in a statement.
