Radio ad revenue up for seventh straight quarter

New York—Radio advertising revenue in the U.S. increased 2% to $4.5 billion in the third quarter compared with the year-earlier period, according to the Radio Advertising Bureau. It was the seventh straight quarter of growth for the industry.

Radio revenue for the first three-quarters of the year was also up 2% to $12.9 billion compared with the year-earlier period. Digital advertising was up 17% in the third quarter to $190 million and up 18% for the first three quarters to $524 million.
