    Reston, Va.—Google's share of Internet searches inched up a bit in October, accounting for 65.6% of all U.S. search queries according to a report from digital marketing and intelligence company comScore Inc. Google captured 65.3% of U.S. searches in September.

    Yahoo's share of search fell, to 15.2% of U.S. queries, down from 15.5% in September. Microsoft Corp.'s Bing search engine's share rose to 14.8% of all U.S. searches, up from 14.7% the previous month. Earlier this month, Google announced changes to its ranking algorithm to provide “fresher,” more relevant results.
