B-to-b ad pages dip in July
New York—B-to-b print advertising pages fell 0.98% in July compared with July 2010, according to data released by American Business Media's Business Information Network. Ad pages were up 1.71% for the first seven months of this year compared with the same period last year, according to BIN figures.
The transportation and logistics sector was the biggest gainer in July, with an increase of 7.7% compared with July 2010. The biggest falloff occurred in the aviation, aerospace and military sector, which dropped 48.43%.
For the January-to-July period this year, the top-gaining sector was transportation and logistics, which increased its ad pages by 16.91% over the same period last year. In the same time frame, the biggest decline occurred in the computing, software and telecommunications sector, where pages fell 8.07%.
