Palo Alto, Calif.—Facebook has relaunched its Facebook Questions Q&A service, oriented toward getting answers more quickly from both friends and the general public.

The company initially introduced Facebook Questions last summer to a limited group of beta users in response to such existing services as LinkedIn Answers and Yahoo Answers. The relaunch will invite additional Facebook members to become beta testers of the service, which will now allow users to distribute polls for broader recommendations in addition to seeking answers from friends.

Facebook is inviting members to learn about the new service through this site and to begin using it.
