NYSE Euronext acquires ‘Corporate Board Member’

New York—NYSE Euronext, operator of the New York Stock Exchange, announced Wednesday that it has acquired Corporate Board Member, publisher of Corporate Board Member magazine. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Boardmember.com, the Director’s Database and Corporate Board Member’s interactive research, conference and educational businesses were also part of the deal. Bank Director magazine was not included in the sale.

NYSE Euronext and Corporate Board Member have worked together in the past to develop events such as the annual Boardroom Summit conference and the Board Committee Peer Exchanges. In 2009, the two companies debuted “This Week in the Boardroom,” a weekly on-demand Web program covering regulatory issues.

Corporate Board Member will operate as a subsidiary of NYSE Euronext, with current CEO T.K. Kerstetter serving as president.
