  • New York—The Wall Street Journal on Monday announced it will introduce ECO:nomics-Creating Environmental Capital, a CEO-level conference that will focus on the strategic relationship between the environment and the bottom line. The conference will be held March 12-14 at the Bacara Resort & Spa in Santa Barbara, Calif.

ECO:nomics, which will explore the nexus between business and the environment, will feature key industry, political and thought leaders who are shaping regulations, policies, and business strategies related to the environment. ECO:nomics will be the centerpiece of a series of initiatives the Journal is introducing around what it calls “Environmental Capital”, including a new blog by the same name that will be introduced later this year.

As part of the Journal’s coverage of business and the environment, there will be two special Journal reports that will appear in Journal print and online editions on Oct. 29 and March 24, 2008.
