Co-produced by O'Reilly Media and CMP, the summit will be held Oct. 17–19 in San Francisco, bringing together experts and entrepreneurs to discuss what new frontiers the Web offers. This year is the first for the Web Bowl, which will place industry experts in the hot seat to answer user-generated questions about the history of the Web—from instant messaging to blogs. "The game show format will create an entertaining opportunity to both celebrate the history and future of the Web among the leading members of the Web community," said John Battelle, program chairman and Web Bowl host, in a press release. "Even those not able to make it will be able to participate virtually, in true 2.0 spirit." To find out more about the event, visit http://www.web2summit.com/pub/w/62/about.html.
