  • Company: Hitachi America, Brisbane, Calif.

Agency: In-house Market: IT management and audiovisual managers

Quick chase: Why feature a blurry photo of an energetic speaker wearing a headset and making a point when the essence of a projector is clarity? The image for this ad for Hitachi projectors seemed off-key. Out of place is the Hitachi logo, which gets lost in the low-visibility upper-right-hand corner. A logo that says "3LCD" appears in the space where the corporate logo should be positioned. Chaser's choice: Goat

Company: Panasonic Corp. of North America, Secaucus, N.J.

Agency: Sigma Advertising, Oradell, N.J. Market: IT management and audiovisual managers

Quick chase: The detail in this ad for Panasonic projectors is remarkable. Note the fine hairs of the eyebrow that appears above the eye that reflects the image on the screen cast by the Panasonic projector. The text type is a wee bit too small in the black strip between the projector and the screen. Nevertheless, it's definitely an eye-catching image.

    Chaser's choice: Gloat
