Yahoo launches display ads in 19 countries

  • Barcelona, Spain—Yahoo on Monday launched mobile display advertising on the company's Yahoo Mobile Web service (m.yahoo.com) in 19 countries across Europe, Asia and the Americas.

    The countries are: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Philippines, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, U.S., U.K. and Vietnam.

    Charter global advertisers include Hilton Embassy Suites, Infiniti, Intel Corp., Nissan, Pepsi-Cola North America, Procter & Gamble Asia Pacific and Singapore Airlines, which all launched mobile ad campaigns on the new platform on Monday.

    The advertisements will run near the top of the Yahoo Mobile Web home page. Viewers will be able to click on the ads to directly call the advertiser.
