  • New York—Content aggregating company BuzzFeed Inc. has created an ad network that allows the distribution of sponsored posts on other websites.

According to a report in BtoB's sibling publication Advertising Age, BuzzFeed is currently working with eight publisher partners and plans to double the number of sites running BuzzFeed sponsored posts in the next few months.

The BuzzFeed posts are displayed on landing pages like other stories, with a headline and image and sometimes a description of the article, but with labeling disclosing that they are sponsored content.
