  • San Francisco—Twitter has reportedly bought social TV analytics company Bluefin Labs. Neither the purchase itself nor financial terms of the deal were disclosed by either company, but Business Insider, which is reporting the news, puts the price at between $50 million and $100 million.

Bluefin Labs uses available social media commentary from Facebook, Twitter and blogs to measure viewer engagement with TV shows and TV advertisements.
