Seattle—Google Inc.'s market share in b2b search in North America reached 90% in 2012, according to a study by lead-generation technology company Optify Inc.
According to Optify's study, “2012 B2B Marketing Benchmark Report,” Bing was a distant second with about 5% of searches leading to b2b sites. These results, focused solely on b2b search queries and contrasted sharply with overall results, which showed that Google commands only about 67% of all search queries in the U.S.
Optify's study analyzed more than 62 million visits from more than 600 small and midsize b2b websites throughout 2012.
