Groupon launches merchant promotion-impact report

  • Chicago—Daily deals company Groupon Inc. has added a free tool to its Groupon Merchant Center that allows businesses to see how their coupon campaigns are working.

    The new Merchant Impact Report offers such analytics as the total number of Groupon subscribers who received a merchant's deal as well as which subscribers purchased based on the offer, broken down by geography, gender and age.

    The new reporting tool also tracks the percentage of customers new to the business or who have been reactivated, the estimated percentage expected to return within 90 days, and offers a profit calculator to estimate the cost-effectiveness of each Groupon promotion.
