  • Seattle—Search engine optimization company SEOmoz has acquired Twitter analytics company Followerwonk, allowing SEOmoz to expand its services to social marketing. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Followerwonk software allows marketers to search Twitter profiles based on biography, sort by follower count, search within social graphs and analyze relationships between users in a side-by-side comparison format.

In May, SEOmoz received $18 million in venture funding from Foundry Group and Ignition Partners, enabling the company to grow via acquisition. It currently has more than 15,000 subscribers.
