Mumbai—Marketing agency Aegis Media, part of London-based Aegis Group, has acquired Communicate 2, a digital consultancy and search marketing agency based in India. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Communicate 2, whose clients include American Express Corp. and Travelocity, will be merged into Aegis Media's iProspect India's Mumbai and New Delhi offices; iProspect specializes in search marketing and performance marketing.

Vivek Bhargava, CEO of Communicate 2, will continue to lead the merged company, Aegis Media said in a statement.
