Bank of America selects WPP as global agency of record

  • Charlotte, N.C.—Bank of America has selected WPP, New York, as its global agency of record, following a review. BBDO New York was the previous agency. The account will be handled by Team Bank of America, a business established within WPP.

    The assignment includes overall brand positioning for the corporate brand, as well as branding and advertising for BofA's consumer banking, global banking and markets, and global commercial banking divisions. The budget was not disclosed.

    In addition, BofA announced that Hill Holliday, Boston, will assume additional creative assignments and will be responsible for its Merrill Lynch Wealth Management and U.S. Trust marketing.
