    Mountain View, Calif.—Professional networking social site LinkedIn Corp. has launched an app for the iPad that offers features not available on its website.

    In addition to its main hub page with icons for news, alerts and access to things people are sharing, LinkedIn for iPad offers a calendar sync feature, showing the scheduled meetings for the day, along with who you know in common with meeting attendees. It also highlights those contacts who have changed jobs.

    The calendar and job changing features, only available on LinkedIn's iPad app, are scheduled to be included on LinkedIn's iPhone and Android apps as well.
