Program: CMO Club community Agency: Social2B, New York Why we liked it: Pete Krainik founded the CMO Club five years ago and has bootstrapped it into an impressive, valuable resource for top marketers across the globe. The club's core product is a series of regional dinners that bring CMOs together for networking and discussions. As membership grew to more than 600 people, the dinners have gone international, and now a diverse portfolio of social media properties links members. In addition to its core website at TheCMOClub.com, the organization also maintains LinkedIn and Twitter accounts, a YouTube channel, and Facebook and Flickr pages. It posts updates and summaries on all these platforms under the philosophy that marketers today must go where their customers are. In walking the walk, the CMO Club exemplifies the new rules of marketing that its members need to embrace.
