'BtoB' announces Social Media Marketing Awards winners, People's Choice finalists

  • New York—BtoB today announced the winners of its annual Social Media Marketing Awards. It also named the finalists for the tech and nontech People's Choice awards.

    Readers can vote for their favorites in each of the People's Choice categories by visiting www.btobonline.com/peopleschoice2012. Online voting ends March 7, and the awards will be presented at BtoB's Social Media Marketing Awards luncheon March 20 at the Hotel Nikko in San Francisco. The luncheon will take place during BtoB's daylong Digital Edge Live conference.

    The tech companies vying for a People's Choice award are: IBM Corp., for its “Information on Demand” campaign; CenturyLink Business, for its “Ultimate Problem Solver” program; and Ultimate Software, for its “LinkedIn Engagement Initiative.”

    The nontech finalists are: Hobart Corp., for its “Get Back to Scratch” campaign; Aon Corp., for its “Pass It On” program; and Corning Inc., for its “A Day Made of Glass” viral video.

    Below are the winners and runners-up in the annual Social Media Marketing Awards competiton:

    Best Use of Integrated Campaign—Nontech Company

    Winner: Hobart Corp. for “Get Back to Scratch”

    Runner-up: Aon Corp. for “Pass It On”

    Best Use of Integrated Campaign—Tech Company

    Winner: IBM Corp. for “Information on Demand 2011”

    Runner-up: CenturyLink Business for “Ultimate Problem Solver”

    Best Use of Facebook

    Winner: Constant Contact for its Facebook page

    Runner-up: Cisco Systems for its SuperFan program

    Best Use of Twitter

    Winner: Constant Contact for its Twitter page

    Runner-up: Schawk Inc. for BrandSquare

    Best Use of LinkedIn

    Winner: Ultimate Software for its LinkedIn engagement initiative

    Runner-up: TELUS Business Solutions for LinkedIn Rapid Response Program

    Best Use of Viral Video

    Winner: Corning Inc. for “A Day Made of Glass”

    Runner-up: CDW for “North Pole Inc.”

    Best Use of Mobile
