HootSuite acquires information aggregator Geotoko

    "Social Media Marketing: Best-in-Class Marketers Rise to The Top" is designed to provide senior-level marketers with a snapshot of the current state of social media marketing, and insights into trends to watch for going forward.

    This reports includes over 54 pages and 42 charts and graphs that are based on the 432 responses from b2b marketers, surveyed in January and February 2013.

    Vancouver, B.C.—HootSuite Media, whose social communications dashboard monitors and publishes to a variety of social networking sites, has acquired Geotoko, which aggregates social check-in service information to help inform marketing campaigns. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

    In September, HootSuite acquired What the Trend, which identifies trending topics on Twitter, and Twitter analysis tool Twapperkeeper. The company also closed on a $3 million round of funding last month.
