Vancouver, B.C.—HootSuite Media, whose social communications dashboard monitors and publishes to a variety of social networking sites, has acquired Geotoko, which aggregates social check-in service information to help inform marketing campaigns. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. In September, HootSuite acquired What the Trend, which identifies trending topics on Twitter, and Twitter analysis tool Twapperkeeper. The company also closed on a $3 million round of funding last month.
