LaPointe took over as president of Inc. last year in the wake of the departure of CEO John Koten. In this role, LaPointe oversees Fast Company and Inc. Both publications were up in ad pages through the first three quarters of this year compared with the same period in 2009, according to Publishers Information Bureau figures. Fast Company's ad pages increased by 15.2% and Inc.'s by 10.3% during that period.
