Shaw has been leading ACBJ, a unit of Advance Publications, since July 2009. ACBJ acquired Portfolio.com from Condé Nast, another Advance company, after the splashy 2-year-old magazine was shut down in April 2009. The website now targets owners of small and midsize businesses, leveraging the resources of ACBJ's 40 metropolitan business newspapers.
